Playing catch up

Things are getting pretty crazy here at Rutledge Manor!

School is almost out for summer! It's about time! Chloe gets out June 10. It's going to be a half day. We're ready for lazy days by the pool and grilling out with friends!

Brandon went to the doctor a couple weeks ago and found out he has a bone spur on his hip. He's going to have surgery sometime soon. He had an MRI done last week and goes to the doctor on Tuesday, 6/9 to go over what the MRI found. Then we'll go from there. Praying for the best. He took the news pretty hard since he was still reeling from the fact that he thought he was going to have surgery on his ankle, and now this. But, one thing at a time.

We have friends planning to visit! Michelle, Caitlyn and Sara are coming sometime within the next month or so. We're still trying to get all the specifics. She's about 18 weeks pregnant and I can't wait to see the girls and her baby bump. Her girls and Chloe met in pre-k and have been best friends for about a year or so. They moved to Virginia when her husband got out of the Marine Corps in April, 2009. Can't wait to see them.

Our summer is pretty busy. We've got something going on at least one day out of the week pretty much until school starts in August. Summer 2009 is going to be great =)

The first thing we're crossing off our list is Kids Night at The Movies on June 13. We're dropping Chloe off at the PI base theater at 5:30. She's going to get dinner and 2 movies all for free. We get to pick her up at 10 pm. She's been a couple times before and has always had such a great time. We're taking that opportunity to shop for her birthday and have a date night =) Haven't had one of those in a while!

Well, I hope everyone has had a great weekend. We didn't do much. Which was really nice. Caught up on some laundry and hung out at home. Have a great week!
