Sea World 2010

I'm finally getting around to blogging about our trip to Sea World. We went for Chloe's birthday but of course had to celebrate it early, so we went on July 4! What a great way to spend our Independence day! :) Before I get to posting pictures about Sea World, I want to tell you about where we went for Brunch. I don't know if you can really call it Brunch but we had breakfast for lunch! One night while watching Food Network, the show Best Thing I Ever Ate was on. Bobby Flay said the best thing he'd ever ate for breakfast was peanut butter and banana stuffed french toast! Brandon said he just had to have it! The place to get this yummy food? Cafe 222 in San Diego, California! So, since we were planning this trip to Sea World, why not go check out this restaurant as well? All of the food was delicious! Brandon of course got the stuffed french toast, Chloe got eggs, toast and griddled potatoes, and I got pancakes and turkey bacon. I must say, the turkey bacon was the best think I have ever eaten! ha ha! We can't wait to go back again! Now, on to the main attraction :) Sea World has to be one of the most amazing experiences of my adult life! As an adult, you just appreciate everything so much more! Chloe of course has a great time and is old enough to remember, but doesn't really appreciate everything that goes into putting on a show of this magnitude. I don't know how many times that day Brandon said,"I just don't get how they can make these animals do this stuff!" Especially Shamu and the Sea Lions. He was amazed to say the least! The one thing I was upset about is that we didn't get to see the dolphin show! We were told that on busy days, the ticket gate passes out arm bands and whatever time they give you, is when you go see the Blue Horizon show. Once they are given out, tough luck! lol! Next time we go, we will make sure to get there extra early! I took a ton of pics and a lot of videos. I'm only gonna post some of the pics because they just don't do Sea World justice! One other amazing thing that happened while we were at Sea World is that we met a celebrity!!! Well, he's a celebrity to me. Kristoff St. John plays Neil Winters on Young and the Restless! That's my most favorite tv show/soap opera! Brandon is actually the one who spotted him and we debated on whether or not we should go bother him but we knew this was something that would probably never happen again so we took off after him! I totally felt like a paparazzi! But he was so nice to us and didn't act like we were bothering him at all. It helps that we apologized a dozen times, too! We told him why we were there and he wished Chloe a happy early birthday and he asked if we lived near the park so we explained that Brandon is a Marine and he was asking about Brandon being deployed and he said that he hopes Brandon gets to stay in the states! So nice! One funny thing... of course if you are famous and someone asks if they can take a picture with you, they probably know your name. Well, when Brandon was getting ready to take my picture with him, he asked for my name and I told him. Then he was like Hi, Patricia, I'm Kristoff St. John and I was like,"Oh I already know who you are!" Not trying to be rude, I just wanted him to know that I of course knew who we was :) I was definitely star struck!

This was the night time show, Shamu Rocks. I didn't get very many pics of this show because its hard to get pics at night! But it was awesome! And I actually got to enjoy the show instead of trying to watch it from the camera lens! :)

Ok, well I just was trying to upload the first video and it must have been too big of a file or something because I have been waiting for almost an hour for it to upload and it never completed. I will have to upload them to youtube one day and then post them that way I guess!

Well, I hope you have enjoyed the pictures! It was definitely a trip we won't forget! I love making new memories with my family :)
