busy as always :)

I wish I could say that I would post more than once a month, but I don't want to lie to you! lol! Couple things I want to tell you about...

Brandon is off crutches! Joy, joy!! It's been almost a week and he is so excited that he doesn't have that setback anymore. The one thing he has to remember though it that just because he's off crutches, doesn't mean he's 100 percent. My main worry is soccer. I keep telling him that he needs to be aware that he still can't run. It's easy to remember when you have crutches as a reminder but now he has to be more conscious of what he's doing! Other than that, he's doing great! He's been doing the elliptical machine in Physical therapy and next week he gets to start doing the treadmill. Hopefully he will build up to running on the treadmill. He's very anxious to start running again.

Speaking of running, we found out some great news! Since Brandon had surgery, we've been worried about his Marine Corps career. Well, in October, Brandon is due to re-enlist and we thought that you had to do before the last six months of your contract. Meaning, Brandon's due to get out October 13, 2010 and if he wants to re-enlist he has to do it by April, 2010. Of course we don't have a glass ball and can see into the future to see if Brandon's hip will be healthy enough to run a PFT by April. You have to run a full PFT to re-enlist. Well, the good news is that since Brandon is a career-ist (meaning he's already done more than 4 years) he can re-enlist up to 30 days before his contract is due to end. Well surely to God he'll be able to run a full PFT by September 12, 2010! That has really been worrying us! Now we can relax a little!

In other news... Brandon's grandparents, Norman and Judy, came for a visit this past weekend. Their trip started in Charleston, Sc and they stayed there for a couple nights. Then they headed to us on Sept. 11 and stayed the night with us. We got up Sat. morning and went to Chloe's first soccer game of the season (her third first soccer game :) ), then we headed to Savannah, Ga! We were beyond thrilled that they could be there for Chloe's game because no one in our families has ever seen Chloe play a game of soccer or basketball. Of course it's out of any one's control (who would want to drive over 8 hours just to watch a 6 year old play a sport!) but we were excited nonetheless! Chloe's team won 3-0. I know we're not supposed to keep score but we can't help it! haha! Brandon did a great job coaching and the players did amazing! We were all so proud of our little kids!

Chloe is doing great in school. We've have some behavioral problems but it's nothing we can't handle. Switching to a laid back teacher to a strict one is hard for a 6 year old! We've been doing lots of talking to her about it and she's doing better every day!

Brandon and I are about to celebrate out 6 year wedding anniversary in October! We're so excited. Hoping to find a babysitter so we can go to dinner and a movie. We already know of a movie we want to see. It's called Couples Retreat! It looks hilarious and how suiting that it's a couples movie and it's our anniversary! Anyway, just wanted to share that because given my track record, I won't be on here again til after our anniversary, which by the way is Oct. 11! Love ya babe!

Hope everyone is doing well! Have a great week :)
